Position Overview

This position requires a dedicated professional to work the Night Shift, specifically from 19:00 to 07:30 on weekends, primarily Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. The successful candidate will float to the X-ray department as needed.

Qualifications

• Required Certifications:
  
  
  • ARRT R
  • ARRT CT
  • BLS
  • South Carolina Radiology License
• Minimum of one year of experience with the EPIC electronic medical record system.
• A minimum of two years of experience in the radiology field is required.
• First-time travelers will be considered based on experience.

Responsibilities

The selected individual will be part of a team with two technologists covering X-ray and CT services for both the emergency department (ED) and inpatients. Responsibilities include:

• Transporting patients to and from the ED.
• Working collaboratively with off-site radiologists who are available for consultation during work hours.
• Utilizing Epic - Radiant for radiology processes and Perfect Serve secure paging for communication.

Work Environment

The facility is classified as a primary stroke center, providing vital care and services to patients who require imaging diagnostics. Staff will be equipped to handle various patient needs across age demographics, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

• Floating Requirement: Staff may be required to float to other units or campuses as needed, focusing on areas where competencies have been documented.

Skills and Proficiencies

The ideal candidate will possess experience and competency in performing various imaging procedures, including:

• Abdomen imaging with and without contrast
• CT scans for adult acute care
• Brain perfusion and cervical studies
• Trauma imaging for the chest and head
• Vascular imaging and preparation/administration of contrast media
• Radiation safety practices
