Phlebotomist II PositionWe are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist II to provide high-quality specimen collection services while delivering exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing venipuncture and capillary collections, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, safety, and professionalism.Key Responsibilities:Perform venipuncture, capillary, and other specimen collection procedures following established protocols.Accurately label, process, and prepare specimens for laboratory testing.Verify patient identity and demographic information before specimen collection.Obtain required patient initials/signatures to confirm specimen labelling accuracy.Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all specimen collections.Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and confidentiality standards.Provide professional and compassionate patient care while explaining collection procedures.Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.Support multiple Patient Service Centers (PSC) and physician office locations as required.Perform clinical and forensic specimen collection when applicable.Demonstrate excellent customer service and maintain a positive professional image.Complete assigned duties accurately and within established turnaround times.Required Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferredPhlebotomy Certification preferred (Required in applicable states)Required Experience:1–3 years of recent phlebotomy experience.Experience with Pediatric, geriatric, and capillary blood collections.Previous Patient Service Center (PSC) experience preferred.Strong specimen processing and labelling experience.Customer service experience in a healthcare, retail, or service environment preferred.Basic computer, keyboard, and data entry skills.Required Skills:Excellent venipuncture and specimen collection techniques.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.Strong organizational and documentation skills.Commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and quality standards.Additional Requirements:Reliable transportation and valid driver's license if travel is required.Ability to travel between multiple collection sites as needed.Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call shifts based on business needs.Ability to adapt to changing schedules and work locations.Commitment to company policies, safety standards, and professional conduct.
