Job Description We are currently seeking an experienced Director of Security to join our team to ensure the safety and security of our valued guests. As the Director of Security, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating activities that protect and safeguard our company assets, team members, members, owners, and guests. - Plans, examines, analyzes, evaluates, and supervises security operations.
- Prepare and maintain accurate information for audits.
- Prepares reports and records for the management team and evaluates current procedures, practices and precedents for accomplishing activities and functions relative to security.
- Prepares periodic budget estimates and reports, orders supplies and equipment as needed.
- Supervises security personnel initiating personnel actions including recruitment, selections, transfers, promotions and discipline or dismissal, prepares work schedules, assigns or delegates responsibilities and evaluates performance.
- Conducts, supervises and prepares reports relating to internal investigations of any losses or violations of regulations, policies and procedures.
- Serves as liaison with public law enforcement, fire and other agencies as it relates to security.
- Ensures overall compliance with OSHA rules and regulations and maintains accurate MSDS labeling and records.
- Carries out all reasonable requests or special projects by management of which the employee is capable of performing.
- Assists in implementing, training and administering automated security systems, maintains records and conducts periodic inspections.
- Coordinates training with regard to loss prevention, fire, blood-borne pathogens and all other safety topics related to all team members.
- 3+ years of related security experience is required.
- 2+ years of managerial/supervisory experience is required.
- Flexibility with availability and schedule with a 24/7 operation.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
- Guard Card
- Hotel or hospitality experience is preferred
- BA/BS/Bachelor's Degree is helpful
