Must hold a Teacher Assistant Certification and have passed a praxis exam OR have a teacher Assistant certification and Associates OR at least an Associates degree in education. This is a union contracted 180 day position with compensation according to contract. Qualifications Prior experience working in a comparable position preferred. Certified in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI); if successful applicant is not currently CPI certified, training will be provided. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Experience with children who have emotional behavioral concerns preferred. Experience with de-escalation preferred. Ability to assist in transitioning students into the general education setting. Ability to collect and monitor data as part of a behavior plan. Ability to work with a diverse team of teachers.
