Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ER RN)

Schedule

Weekends: Required - at least every other weekend

Assignment Details
Daily census: ~160; Visits/day: ~183
Rooms/Beds in ED: 73

Requirements
- Minimum: 2 years RN experience
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
- Preferred/required additional certifications: NIHSS, TNCC
- Experience with diverse patient age groups: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
- Proficient in charting with Epic

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all age groups in a fast-paced environment.
- Administer medications and treatment plans according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and document findings accurately.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Manage acute situations, including trauma and behavioral health emergencies.
- Educate patients and families on health management and emergency care protocols.

Compliance / Notes
- Mandatory: personal vehicle for assignment
- Return-to-office/time-off (RTO) rules: up to 6 days total or 3 consecutive auto-approved; anything beyond may require additional approvals
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 main holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
