Cervical checks

Operating room circulator

IV start

Medication management including oxytocin and magnesium

Number of beds: 11

Number of staff: 34

Day shift includes 1 charge nurse, 1 surgical tech, and 4 RNs

Night shift includes 1 charge nurse, 1 surgical tech, and 4 RNs

Patient ratios according to AWHONN standards

Type of equipment: Standard fetal monitoring, wireless monitoring, IV pumps

EMR systems used: Meditech Expanse and GE CPN Connect

Typical procedures performed: Labor management, vaginal and cesarean deliveries, pre-op/PACU

Best personality fit: Open and friendly

Capable of managing independently but possesses a team spirit

Weekends are rotating; on-call is not required
