Tech - MLT/Medical Technologist/Clinical Lab Scientist

Job Summary:
Conducts complex laboratory tests to diagnose, treat, and prevent diseases in patients. Ensures accurate analysis of biological samples while maintaining compliance with quality standards and safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Perform chemical analyses of blood, urine, spinal fluids, and gastric juices to determine normal and abnormal components.
• Analyze blood cells using microscopic techniques to identify and count cells accurately.
• Prepare blood, plasma, and platelets for transfusions through blood grouping, typing, and compatibility testing.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including calibrating analyzers and troubleshooting malfunctions.
• Manage laboratory supplies inventory, including checking stock levels, placing orders, and verifying receipt of supplies.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment by adhering to infection control and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Possess at least 2 years of MLS (Medical Laboratory Scientist) experience.
• Blood bank experience is required.
• Hold an ASCP certification.
• Valid BLS certification.
• Demonstrate proficiency in laboratory procedures and equipment maintenance.
