Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:


Seeking experienced Registered Nurses specialized in Labor and Delivery to provide high-quality care in a high-risk obstetrical unit. These travel positions offer an opportunity to work in a busy, high-volume women’s hospital setting with diverse clinical responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Administer comprehensive prenatal, labor, delivery, and postpartum care to high-risk obstetric patients.
• Circulate during cesarean sections and assist with procedures such as D&C and post-delivery recovery.
• Monitor fetal and maternal vital signs using GE fetal monitors and document findings in Meditech system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols, infection control, and patient privacy standards.
• Educate patients and families on labor progress, postpartum care, and discharge instructions.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with current practice in the state.
• Minimum of 2 years of high-risk labor and delivery nursing experience.
• Certification in Advanced Fetal Monitoring (e.g., AWHONN Fetal Monitoring) required.
• Proven competence in high-acuity obstetrical nursing, including C-section circulating.
• Knowledge of Meditech documentation and obstetric procedures.
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour night shifts and float within OB and antepartum units.
