Location: Kalamazoo, MI 
Shift: 1st shift Mon–Fri 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM 
Pay: $18.00+ per hour

Job Summary

Are you an experienced and detailoriented warehouse professional looking for a new opportunity? We’re seeking a skilled  Forklift Operator / Shipping & Inventory Clerk to join our team in Grand Rapids, MI. In this role, you’ll support daily warehouse operations by safely operating a forklift, managing shipping and receiving tasks, and maintaining accurate inventory records in a small, fastpaced environment. This position is ideal for someone who can balance handson warehouse work with computerbased responsibilities and work independently with minimal supervision.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Forklift Operator / Shipping & Inventory Clerk, your core responsibilities will include:

Safely operating a forklift to move, load, unload, and stage materials. 

Performing shipping and receiving duties, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments. 

Preparing shipping documents such as bills of lading, packing lists, and labels.

Entering shipment details, inventory transactions, and order information into the computer system. 

Maintaining accurate inventory records and assisting with cycle counts and physical inventory. 

Tracking materials and ensuring products are stored in correct locations. 

Inspecting incoming and outgoing materials for accuracy, damage, and proper labeling. Coordinating shipments with carriers and communicating order status with internal staff. 

Keeping the warehouse organized, clean, and safe. 

Assisting with general warehouse duties as needed.

What We’re Looking For

Qualifications:

Previous forklift operating experience required. 

Experience in shipping, receiving, or inventory control preferred. 

Basic computer skills including data entry, email, and navigating inventory/shipping software. 

Ability to read shipping documents, labels, and work instructions. 

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a small warehouse setting. 

Dependable, safetyconscious, and able to communicate effectively. 

Ability to lift and move materials as required.

Skills:

Attention to Safety: Essential for operating forklifts, handling materials, and maintaining a safe warehouse environment. 

Teamwork & Communication: Important for coordinating shipments and working with carriers and internal staff. 

Computer & Inventory Skills: Needed for accurate data entry, tracking materials, and maintaining inventory records.
