Join Fifth Third Bank as a Retail Personal Banker I after completing a 9‑week onboarding and education program that includes rotations in operations, sales, and service. The program concludes with a certification to demonstrate the skills needed to perform in the Retail Personal Banker job family. Responsibilities Use the consultative sales process and Financial Needs Assessment to build a detailed customer profile and identify current and future financial needs. Maintain in‑depth knowledge of retail consumer and small‑business products and services and recommend appropriate solutions. Utilize CAMP and approved marketing tools to proactively reach out to customers and set appointments for periodic financial reviews. Cross‑sell to existing customers and engage in outside sales activities, including membership advantage presentations, business sales calls, and community financial literacy events. Establish close working relationships with assigned Business Partners (Mortgage, Small Business, Commercial & Investment) and refer customers for holistic financial solutions. Consistently meet or exceed customer‑experience and individual/team production goals to drive year‑over‑year revenue growth measured by the Financial Center P&L. Provide guidance to CSRs on sales and referral processes. Act with confidence, answering customer questions and owning customer issues while maintaining confidentiality. Follow the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and all related policies. Participate in the consumer loan and bank‑card process from application through closing and in opening/closing processes for the Financial Center or Bank Mart. Keep up to date on retail procedures to mitigate fraudulent activity and risk. Qualifications College degree or equivalently relevant work experience. Experience in the financial industry preferred. Comfortable with sales activities that acquire new consumer households and small‑business customers or cross‑sell to existing customers. Understanding of advanced math functions for analysis of credit and financial information. Professional appearance and strong verbal/written communication skills. Working knowledge of retail policies and procedures and sound judgment in decision‑making. Registration under the S.A.F.E. Act via the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) at the time of employment. Working Conditions Normal office environment with extended computer screen time. The program requires travel within the affiliate for training and occasional travel outside the affiliate for classroom sessions. Schedule flexibility is required.
