Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Skilled Nursing/TCU position requiring 1 year of experience and a CA RN license.

Details

Rehab/sub-acute care unit within a skilled nursing facility (TCU)
Covers all system diagnoses following specific admit criteria, excluding custodial or long-term care
87-bed capacity unit focused on patient rehabilitation
Nurse to patient ratio of approximately 1:8-10
Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (23:00-7:30)
Every other weekend required
Uses Epic charting system
Floating between sister facilities may be required

Requirements

Active CA RN license required (must be in hand at time of submission, pending licenses not accepted)
BLS certification required
Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
Prior travel nursing experience required
Epic charting experience required
Experience with respiratory care, oxygen administration, IV therapy/medication, and peripheral line care
Experience with isolation precautions and PPE
2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required for consideration

Additional Information

Provide skilled nursing care to patients in a rehabilitation/sub-acute unit
Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
Scrubs of any color permitted
Free parking available on site
First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
Local candidates accepted, with a 50-mile radius rule applied for local candidate rate eligibility
Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
All RTO requests must be submitted at time of application, as approval is based on facility needs
Candidates should not contact facility staff directly except for scheduled interviews
