Nurse Practitioner - Infusion Center - Mercy San Diego - Per-Diem / Casual

This is a casual/per‑diem 8‑hour day shift position at Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego, available on various weekdays excluding weekends and holidays, with typically 2–4 shifts per month. Responsibilities Assumes leadership responsibilities for the specific business unit/department. Active in program planning. Responsible for delivering education and staff development for direct patient caregivers. Evaluates clinical practice for the unit and monitors the standards of care. Provides clinical supervision. Facilitates point‑of‑service decision‑making activities, including but not limited to education, research and performance improvement for their areas of expertise. Preferred Experience/Specialized Skills Prefer two years of experience in the APN/CNS role. Prefer three to five years working in the specialty area. TNCC(P) and/or ATCN(P). ANA and CA Certification as a Clinical Nurse Specialist preferred. Required Certification/Registration Current State of California RN license. N.P. certification. Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS card. Current and active ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certificate. Required Education/Course(s)/Training Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Minimum of a master’s degree in specialty or related area of expertise, MS/MSN preferred.
