Customer Account Specialist

The Customer Account Specialist reports to the Customer Account Manager and works with designated Sales Account Managers and their respective customers in a quick-paced environment to provide exceptional customer support.

Responsibilities

• Communicate professionally and proficiently via email and over the phone
• Maintain organizational system to efficiently balance ongoing tasks throughout the day
• Enter sales orders through ERP system, working closely with sales account managers in a quick-paced environment
• Actively review margins on sales orders and appropriately maintain or increase the orders as needed
• Review customer purchase orders for accuracy and address issues with sales managers and customers
• Coordinate with other departments such as purchasing, sourcing, accounting, IT, transportation, and the warehouse staff to meet customer requirements in a designated timeframe
• Work with manufacturers for direct shipments and follow up to meet deadlines
• Complete new customer setup and maintain Customer Maintenance
• Maintain customer account information pertaining to contacts, freight, and custom items
• Continuous review of designated reports to keep customers and sales current and accurate
• Process freight quotes, obtain tracking information, arrange couriers for expedited shipments, and request POD's
• Process RMA requests and forms
• Assist customers calling the customer service number in regard to orders, invoices, questions, and concerns
• Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Customer Account Manager

Essential Skills and Experience

• High School Diploma
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Type 30+ wpm
• Ability to communicate with various levels inside and outside of the organization
• Ability to work independently and in a team; this environment is critical for success in this position.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills and knowledge
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
• 1-2 years of Customer Service Representative experience
• Familiarity with order entry and freight
