Sapphire Nursing and Rehab at Goshen is seeking a caring Physical Therapist Assistant to provide quality care to its patients and join our growing rehab team. The Physical Therapist Assistant will be responsible for providing physical therapy treatments to patients to facilitate increased independence and functioning under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist. Responsibilities Implements patient's individualized treatment plan as established by the primary Physical Therapist. Work with other members of the rehabilitation team to implement programs consistent with the needs and capabilities of each patient. Acts as an assistant to the Physical Therapist when the Physical Therapist is performing tests, evaluations and complex procedures. Instructs patients, families and other caregivers in the skills and techniques of the physical therapy treatment program under the supervision of the Physical Therapist. Requirements Associate’s degree in physical therapist assistant. Valid New York State license. Good organization skills. Good communication skills. Good written skills. Rehab Optima experience is a plus. New grads encouraged to apply. Qualifications Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy. Valid NYS License awarded by NYS Education Department required.
