Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring staff accountants for a manufacturing company in Alexandria, MN. In this role, you’ll maintain accurate financial records, support reporting and analysis, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations. What you’ll do as an accounting specialist:

• Process accounts payable invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments
• Monitor accounts receivable, apply cash, and assist with collections
• Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare financial reports and analysis
• Ensure compliance with sales and use tax regulations, including filings and documentation
• Track and manage fixed assets, including reporting and physical inventory
• Support payroll processing and timecard administration
• Recommend and implement process improvements within accounting operations

What you need to bring to the accounting specialist role:

• Associate degree in accounting OR 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience
• Knowledge of general ledger practices and GAAP principles
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines consistently
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software systems
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
• Reliable attendance and ability to work in a team environment
