This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial and industrial buildings while ensuring full compliance with local and national electrical codes, including the National Electrical Code (NEC). You will work both independently and as part of a team, using your ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams to deliver safe, high-quality electrical installations and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial buildings.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local regulations.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and specifications to plan and execute electrical installations.
• Run jobs from start to finish, including organizing tasks, coordinating with team members, and ensuring timely completion of work.
• Use the electrical code book effectively to verify compliance and resolve code-related questions on the job.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently, identify root causes, and implement safe and effective solutions.
• Perform construction-related electrical work in both new builds and existing facilities as needed.
• Operate and maintain electrical tools and equipment safely and correctly.
• Follow strict safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Communicate clearly with supervisors, coworkers, and other trades to coordinate work and resolve on-site issues.
• Complete physically demanding tasks such as climbing ladders, lifting equipment, and working in tight or elevated spaces.

• Minimum of 5+ years of electrical experience in industrial and commercial settings.
• Proven experience installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local building regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and electrical schematics.
• Demonstrated experience running jobs, including organizing work and overseeing tasks on site.
• Proficiency with electrical tools, equipment, and test instruments.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently and safely.
• Physical strength and stamina to perform tasks such as climbing ladders, lifting equipment, and working in tight spaces.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and other trades.
• Effective problem-solving skills and attention to detail in all aspects of electrical work.

• Experience as a construction, industrial, or commercial electrician.
• Comfort working both independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to following safety protocols and using PPE consistently.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and different job sites within commercial and industrial environments.

Work Environment

You will work in commercial and industrial buildings in both indoor and outdoor environments. The schedule runs Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The role involves physically demanding tasks such as climbing ladders, lifting and carrying equipment, and working in tight or elevated spaces. Safety is a top priority, with strict adherence to safety protocols and the consistent use of personal protective equipment (PPE). You will regularly use standard electrical tools, equipment, and test instruments while working on active job sites.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Millington, TN.

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $35.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Millington,TN.
