Assistant Operations Manager

Responsibilities Assist in the day‑to‑day management of the assigned location, ensuring parking operations meet contractual guidelines, fostering good client relations, and promoting a professional image. Participate in programs to improve client and customer satisfaction. Engage in the development of property‑level financial and operational goals. Assist in managing day‑to‑day activities of the assigned location, including customer interaction, evening closing reports, bank deposits, staff scheduling, supervision of frontline staff (cashiers, valet attendants, maintenance porters, etc.), month‑end reports, auditing cashier shift reports, checking time cards, hiring and training staff, reviewing damage claims, disbursing petty cash, and preparing the annual budget. Courteously assist customers by answering any questions they may have. Assist with maintenance and repair of parking equipment and general maintenance tasks as directed by the Facility Manager. Report any known accidents, observed or suspected violations of company policy, safety hazards, or any unusual occurrence to the Facility Manager. Assist with cleanup of debris, water, oil spills, etc. Have thorough knowledge of all areas of the garage, major streets, landmarks, and freeways in the surrounding area. Assist the Facility Manager with additional duties as needed. Qualifications Education/Experience Required : High School Graduate; a minimum of six months of parking experience preferred. Availability to Work : Special shift requirements may vary; availability to work 2nd shift, 3rd shift, and/or weekends may be required. License Requirement : Must possess a valid state‑issued driver’s license with current address and an acceptable driving record. Oral Communication : Speaks clearly, listens, clarifies, and responds well to questions. Written Communication : Writes clearly and informatively; able to read and interpret written information. Customer Service : Strong customer orientation, positive attitude, and courteous professional assistance. Adaptability : Adapts to changes in the work environment and deals with unexpected events. Judgment : Exhibits sound and accurate judgment. Physical Demands The role requires regularly standing, walking, handling cash and equipment, and occasionally sitting, climbing, or balancing. The employee may lift or move up to 25 pounds.
