JANITOR (FULL TIME AND PART TIME)

We are hiring immediately for full time and part time JANITOR positions. Location: Navasota Independent School District – 9038 Highway 90 South, Navasota, TX 77868. (Openings at other locations within the school district available.) Note: online applications accepted only. Schedule: Full time from 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM; part time from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Days may vary; full and part time schedules are designed to meet most scheduling needs. Requirement: Prior janitorial experience is preferred, but not required. Pay Range: $11.00 per hour to $11.50 per hour. Job Summary Keeps buildings clean and orderly. Performs heavy cleaning duties, including cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans. Dusts and damp-mops floors following approved procedures. Moves equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and places furniture back in correct placement. Clears assigned areas with assigned materials and equipment, sanitizes all surfaces, and follows the eight-step cleaning procedure. Washes walls, windows, furniture, baseboards and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment for students, visitors and staff. Seeks out areas requiring cleaning; takes initiative to complete the task. Completes all tasks assigned by supervision. Performs tasks in accordance with all federal, state and county guidelines. Strips, scrubs, buffs and refines floors; shampoos carpet. Contributes to the team; exhibits professionalism with customers, fellow employees and others. Performs other duties as assigned.
