Assignment Details
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week (3 x 12-hour shifts)

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years RN experience
- Must have been at bedside within last 6 months
- Travel experience required
- Trauma Level II experience required
- Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS (BLS), NIH (NIHSS)
- Proficient in:
- Titration of vasopressors (vasoactive drips)
- Management of ventilators/trach-vented patients
- Troubleshooting ventilator alarms
- Titration of sedation and insulin drips
- Arterial line management
- Chest tube care
- External pacemaker experience

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care to patients in a step-down unit recovering from ICU-level care.
- Monitor and manage patients on ventilators and vasoactive medications.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including respiratory therapy, physical therapy, and social work.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and document patient progress.
- Evaluate patient conditions, administer care, and respond to urgent situations as needed.
- Ensure adherence to care protocols, including telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia recognition.

Compliance / Notes
- Orientation: 24 hours
- Weekend requirement: 2 shifts every other weekend
- RTO rules: Max 7 days RTO (7+ requires manager approval); no RTO first week of assignment
- Parking: Free
- Scrub color: Navy
