EP Cardiology Openings (2) in Metro Birmingham, Alabama!!\n
\nWe have 2 new EP positions\n
\n15 physicians: 4 non interventional, invasive, 2 EPs (one is leaving to be with family in TN after working for BHC for 15 years), all the rest are Interventional\n
\n5 locations on our campuses\n
\nResignation effective  December 31..  Hoping to get one EP with experience now and then a new grad.  They were planning to expand the EP position before the resignation.\n
\nThey are back to normal post-Covid.  They never shut their doors and kept everyone whole.\n
\n3 years to partnership, possibly 2 years, buy in with 18 months to pay in \n
\nSalary with discretionary bonus in mid $400s\n
\n$12K moving expense, $3K CME + 5 days\n
\nProAssurance is claims made\n
\n15 days of PTO + holidays + 8 days during the week of Christmas or the week after\n
\n401K after 1 year + profit sharing to get the maximum contribution\n
\nMedical and dental at no cost for an individual or family\n
\n$150K life insurance, short term disability, long term disability\n
\n$450K of insurance on own\n
\nTraining:  Internal Medicine, Interventional Cardiology, EP fellowship\n
\nNo visas\n
\nPractice established 28 years ago\n
\n3 - 4 rooms in clinic\n
\nOwn MA and RN, shared Device Tech, Device MA, NP\n
\nProcedures 3 days per week\n
\nPhysician leaving say 30 patients per day in clinic 2 days per week\n
\nEMR Nextgen in office, Cerner in hospital\n
\nProcedures in-office: Echo, Vascular Ultrasound, Stress test, PET, CT, Event monitor, Holter monitor, ABI\n
\nMedicare 35%, Blue Cross 35%, Medicaid yes\n
\nClinic days see 30 patients\n
\nPerson at hospital handles all patient in hospital and all procedures\n
\nPrimary call with non-interventionists 1:6 weekdays\n
\nWeekend call 1:7-8, 2 people on call during the weekend\n
\nAll share holidays equally\n
\nA lot of support: another EP and 2 new EPs\n
\nReferral base large and well-established\n
