Accounts Payable Manager

Arkansas Talent Group is partnering with a well-established organization in Little Rock, AR to identify an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join their accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong A/P professional ready to take ownership of the accounts payable function, including managing and developing an A/P Specialist. This person will lead day-to-day A/P and the corporate credit card program, working hands-on alongside their direct report while training them to build a reliable, efficient process. The ideal candidate has solid hands-on A/P experience, strong attention to detail, and can manage both their own workload and a direct report's with minimal oversight. Reliability, accuracy, and the ability to coach and hold someone accountable are key. Duties will include: Oversee day-to-day A/P, working alongside and training one A/P Specialist Process invoices and payments directly, especially during training or high-volume periods Review invoices for accuracy, coding, documentation, and approvals; prepare check and ACH payments Oversee the corporate credit card program, including reconciliation, coding, and card requests Resolve invoice discrepancies, vendor inquiries, and payment issues; reconcile vendor statements Manage month-end A/P activities and reconciliations Maintain internal controls and vendor records Coach and support the A/P Specialist's performance and development Identify opportunities to improve A/P efficiency and accuracy Provide regular updates to leadership Ideal candidate will possess: High School Diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred 4+ years of A/P experience, including training, coaching, or supervising others Strong understanding of the full A/P cycle, including check and ACH payments Experience managing a corporate credit card program a plus Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through Ability to manage own workload and a direct report's, and meet deadlines Strong communication and coaching skills Competitive compensation Opportunity for professional growth and advancement 401(k) with 3% company match 2 weeks of PTO, plus additional sick leave #J-18808-Ljbffr
