About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to play a pivotal role in advancing its ambitious conservation impact. The COO will be a deeply collaborative and highly capable operational leader, responsible for translating the organization's strategic vision into clear priorities and measurable results. This includes leading integrated planning, driving complex initiatives, and strengthening the company's organizational infrastructure. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years' experience in a senior leadership role, with a proven track record in project management, systems design, and people leadership. A servant-leadership orientation, a positive and energetic presence, and a commitment to the values of transparency, inclusivity, and trust are essential. Key responsibilities for the COO at the company include overseeing operations, information technology, and people and culture, as well as championing a multiyear people and culture strategy. The role requires a leader with strong emotional intelligence, the ability to build trust and buy-in, and a collaborative, service-oriented leadership style. Experience in leading organizations through change, and a strong command of core organizational functions, are also necessary. While not mandatory, experience in the nonprofit or mission-driven sector, and training in organizational development or change leadership, are valued. The ideal candidate will be a strategic partner to the President & CEO, with the ability to influence and lead without relying on formal authority, and will be instrumental in helping the company navigate its consequential chapter of conservation.
