If you’re a hands-on technician who enjoys working with tools, solving mechanical issues, and supporting customers in the field, this role was built for you. As a Field Service Technician, you’ll execute service work at customer sites, performing maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on pumps and equipment that support critical operations. Why This Role Is Different Strong focus on hands-on mechanical troubleshooting and repair Work directly in the field at customer sites Exposure to mechanical, electrical, and diesel systems Opportunity to work independently and take ownership of service work What You’ll Be Doing Perform field service work including maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of pump systems and equipment Diagnose mechanical and equipment issues and complete repairs using hand tools and diagnostic tools Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections Support troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, and diesel systems Identify system issues and implement corrective actions Work directly with customers to resolve issues and ensure satisfaction Maintain accurate documentation of service work Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment Where You’ll Make an Impact You’ll be in the field working on real equipment and solving real problems. Your ability to troubleshoot and repair systems quickly helps reduce downtime and ensures reliable customer operations. ✅ What You Bring High school diploma or equivalent 2–5 years of experience as a Field Service Technician, Service Technician, or similar role Strong diesel mechanical skills and experience working with tools Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial or mechanical equipment Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain CDL (if required) Basic electrical experience is a plus (motors, control systems, troubleshooting) Strong customer-facing and communication skills What You’ll Get $30–$35/hour pay range Full benefits package (health, dental, vision, retirement) PTO and career development opportunities Hands-on technical growth and field experience About Xylem Xylem is a Fortune 500 global water solutions company focused on solving the world’s most critical water challenges.
