Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Location: New Caney, TX Pay Rate: $20.00 - $22.00/hr 7: 00 AM - 4: 00 PM Job Summary: We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk to support daily warehouse and logistics operations in New Caney. This position is responsible for accurately receiving incoming materials, preparing outgoing shipments, maintaining shipping and receiving records, and ensuring products are properly identified, stored, and distributed. The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, and able to balance computer-based documentation with hands-on shipping and receiving responsibilities. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Receive incoming materials, packages, supplies, and freight deliveries. Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, invoices, and other receiving documents. Inspect received materials for damage, shortages, incorrect quantities, or other discrepancies. Document received materials accurately and update inventory or warehouse management systems as required. Label, organize, and route incoming materials to the appropriate warehouse or production areas. Verify product numbers, quantities, and shipping information before orders leave the facility. Package, weight, label, and stage shipments according to company and carrier requirements. Prepare and maintain shipping documents, packing slips, bills of lading, and other required records. Track shipments and assist with resolving delivery or receiving discrepancies. Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts as needed. Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, or other material-handling equipment when authorized. Follow all company safety procedures and warehouse policies. Requirements: High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, inventory, or logistics experience preferred. Computer and data-entry skills. Ability to read purchase orders, packing slips, shipping documents, and product information. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to accurately count and verify inventory. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
