Financial Reporting Analyst

Rutgers University is hiring a Financial Reporting Analyst to support the Financial Data Analytics and Reporting office within University Finance and Administration. The role develops, maintains, and troubleshoots financial reports and dashboards using Oracle ERP reporting tools and Tableau, while collaborating with IT and end users to deliver reliable reporting solutions for financial operations, budgeting, planning, and compliance. Highlights Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify reporting needs and document functional requirements. Develop and maintain ERP reports using Oracle tools such as BI Publisher, OTBI, Oracle Analytics Cloud, Smart View, and Oracle SQL, along with Tableau-based reports. Conduct data validation, reconciliation, testing of reports, and troubleshooting of reporting errors and data issues. Manage reporting requests via Jira or ServiceNow to ensure timely resolution. Provide help desk support and maintain documentation, report definitions, and security settings. Support end-user training and develop user-facing documentation for reporting tools. Required technical skills include proficiency in Oracle ERP reporting tools, Oracle SQL, BI Publisher Template Builder, and Tableau. Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related field, plus at least five years experience developing financial or operational reports in complex environments. Experience with financial processes such as general ledger, chart of accounts, sub-ledger integrations, allocations, consolidations, and financial close processes is essential.
