Security Operations Engineer

Working remotely on a contract basis, the Security Operations Engineer will deploy and tailor security instances, monitor systems for intrusions, and collaborate with engineering teams to enhance detection capabilities and remediate vulnerabilities. Key Responsibilities Implement monitoring strategies, response plans, and optimize security tools Use threat intelligence to hunt active and dormant threats, perform forensics, and deliver post-incident reports Embed best practices into the software development lifecycle, building automated evaluation pipelines for secure code deployment Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience 5 years of experience in security engineering, computer and network security, or security protocols 5 years of experience with security assessments, design reviews, threat modeling, or vulnerability research 1 year of experience leading teams or projects in a technical capacity 5 years of coding experience in languages such as Python, Go, C++, or Java
