Main Purpose of Job This position functions at the intermediate level of practical nursing to provide direct care to severely emotionally disturbed adolescents in the day treatment and residential setting that is family driven and youth guided. Location of Position MDH RICA Baltimore 605 S. Chapel Gate Lane Baltimore, MD 21229 Minimum Qualifications Education: Determined by the Maryland Board of Nursing under the licensing requirements for Practical Nurses. Experience: One year of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Note: Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Nursing classifications or Nursing or Health Care Specialist specialty codes in the Nursing field of work on a year‑for‑year basis for the required experience. Desired or Preferred Qualifications Experience working in mental health nursing. Experience with crisis intervention and/or de-escalation. Licenses, Registrations & Certifications Candidates must possess a current license as a Practical Nurse from the Maryland Board of Nursing. Employees may be assigned duties that require operating a motor vehicle; they must possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in Maryland. Employees may be required to successfully complete and maintain current certification of cardiopulmonary resuscitation training.
