Key Responsibilities for the Cost Accounting Manager: Lead, maintain, and enhance standard costing systems across complex manufacturing operations. Evaluate current costing methodologies and develop a roadmap for continuous improvement. Partner with plant and production teams to analyze cost performance and identify opportunities for improvement. Support ERP optimization initiatives and ensure alignment between costing processes and system functionality. Oversee inventory costing, variance analysis, forecasting, and operational reporting. Mentor, develop, and coach the cost accounting team. Qualifications for the Cost Accounting Manager: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Operations Management, or related field. 6+ years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment. Experience with standard costing, variance analysis, inventory accounting, and ERP systems. CMA certification preferred or interest in pursuing certification.
