Securities Operations SpecialistWells Fargo is seeking a Securities Operations Specialist within WIM Operations. The Fees, Commissions, & Specialty Assets team plays a critical role in supporting operational excellence, risk management, and quality assurance activities that help ensure accurate and timely compensation for Financial Advisors. In this role, you will collaborate with internal business partners, external annuity carriers, mutual fund companies, and fund administrators to research and resolve commission-related inquiries. You will leverage analytical and problem-solving skills to identify root causes, mitigate risk, and drive timely resolution to operational issues. The position offers broad exposure to investment products, advisor compensation processes, and cross-functional partnerships while maintaining a strong focus on controls, accuracy, client services, and continuous improvement.In this role, you will:Participate in low to moderately complex lifecycle support initiatives and identify opportunity for process improvements within Securities OperationsReview and analyze basic or tactical functional operational tasks or challenges that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives; exercise independent judgment related to low-to-medium risk deliverablesPresent recommendations for resolving low to moderately complex situations related to a full process within a trade environment while developing understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirementsProvide information to, collaborate, and consult with peers, colleagues and managers, including internal and external customers, to resolve issues and achieve goalsDevelop expertise in the following operational processes including client account onboarding, cash payments, customer service, funding operations, custodial operations, securities settlement services, structured loan operations, and general ledger reconciliationResolve low to moderately complex escalated issues within the scope of responsibility in Security OperationsResearch low to moderately complex business risks, provide input into policies, enhance customer satisfaction, and review time sensitive documents and transaction requestsExercise independent judgment in understanding trade settlement workflow controls to minimalize the effects of operational breakdownsSupport overall effectiveness of the team according to plans; monitor daily securities and cash related production workContribute and may lead implementation of projects, new or revised processes, and procedures that require coordination among operation teams and perform analysis for initiatives that support business strategies making decisions on matters with financial impact and riskRequired Qualifications:2+ years of Securities Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, educationDesired Qualifications:Demonstrated aptitude for process improvement, operational excellence, innovation, and transformationExperience utilizing AI tools, automation platforms, or workflow technologies to improve efficiency and productivityAbility to identify inefficiencies and develop creative, technology-enabled solutionsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrated curiosity and willingness to adopt new technologies and ways of workingAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively across teamsStrong attention to detail, accountability, and ownership mindsetStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applicationsExperience with tools such as Alteryx, Xceptor, Power BI, Power Automate, Microsoft Copilot, or similar technologiesJob Expectations:This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorshipThis position offers a hybrid work scheduleWillingness to work on-site at stated location on the job openingPosting Location:550 South 4th Street, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55415Pay RangeReflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location.
