Manager, Software Engineering - Full Stack

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

  • We require formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, plus 5+ years of applied experience and proven coaching and mentoring experience.
  • We are looking for experience managing technologists.
  • We need strong proficiency in Java or Python, working knowledge of SQL and React.js, and a solid grasp of software development best practices.
  • We require extensive hands-on experience with RDBMS platforms, especially Oracle and PostgreSQL, including database design, query tuning, and performance optimization.
  • We need hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure provisioning tools such as Terraform and AWS Glue, AWS Athena, and AWS S3.
  • We are looking for demonstrated experience with an AI technology stack, including model development and integration, MLOps, data pipelines, and AI platform services.
  • We require proven experience leading technology initiatives end to end, from planning through delivery and production readiness.
  • We need experience leading the responsible adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and delivery tools across engineering teams, including review and validation practices, outcome measurement, and secure data handling.
  • We expect understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, resiliency and security impacts, and governance expectations, with the ability to coach engineers on compliant and effective use.
  • We require advanced understanding of agile practices such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
  • We need in-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and its IT systems.
Responsibilities:
  • We guide an immediate team of software engineers in daily tasks and activities.
  • We set the overall direction and expectations for team output, working practices, and collaboration.
  • We lead the adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices and SDLC/TLM automation to improve delivery speed, quality, and operational results while reinforcing human validation, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and consistent use of reusable patterns.
  • We apply knowledge of tools within the software development life cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase automation value and support capacity unlock efforts.
  • We anticipate dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications aligned with business needs.
  • We manage stakeholder relationships and oversee team work in line with compliance standards, service level agreements, and business requirements.
