Welder

Welder Position

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

• Weld products using MIG at a standard rate
• Use drawings to fit-up products
• Use personal tools to help with tasks
• Work with other welders on big projects
• Meet quality standards and document them
• Design and build jigs and fixtures when needed
• Interact with engineering for clarity and problem-solving
• Use TIG and Flux-Cored Arc welding when required
• Interpret drawings for large/complex weldments
• Mentor less experienced team members
• Lead and coordinate team members on large projects
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications include:

• Pass pre-employment math & measurement test
• Pass MIG weld test
• Reading mechanical drawings, including weld symbols preferred

Education and experience include:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Welding certificate from high school or trade school preferred
• 5 years of experience required

Mathematical skills include:

• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
• Convert decimals to fractions and vice versa
• Read a tape measure within 1/16"

Work environment:
