Sterile Processing Technician

This position will support the US Department of Veterans Affairs Critical Staffing Program. The person in this position will represent International SOS Government Medical Services, Inc. and provide services outlined below: Key Responsibilities Manage inventory of medical supplies and equipment. Receive, inspect, and store incoming supplies. Organize and maintain storage areas for easy access. Restock supplies in patient care areas and departments. Prepare and distribute medical supplies for procedures and surgeries. Track usage and report shortages or discrepancies. Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation regulations. Assist with equipment maintenance and repairs. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for orders and returns. Complete required organizational compliance education, including client‑specified requirements for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services certification or other regulatory bodies. Basic Requirements/Certifications Must possess either a CRCST Certification or a CBSPD Certification. Must possess experience with the following duties: Managing inventory: Pulling, replenishing, monitoring stock levels (including expiration dates and critical supplies), and conducting daily inventory using barcoding. Distribution: Delivering supplies based on requirements in a timely and functional condition. Customer interaction: Providing information to customers and addressing concerns. Preparation and cleaning: Preparing specialty carts and cleaning assigned areas according to aseptic principles. Receiving: Receiving supplies into the medical center. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Education Required High school diploma or equivalent. Physical Requirements Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment. Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time. May require bending, stooping and lifting up to 15 lbs. Other Special Qualifications Must be able to read, write, and speak English effectively. US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required. Pass/possess VA Public Trust Clearance.
