PrideStaff - Greenville is seeking a highly motivated, industry-experienced Warehouse Lead for a leading logistics and distribution facility for our customer in the Greer, SC area .

As the Warehouse Lead, you will take full ownership of nightly warehouse operations, ensuring all trailers are loaded/unloaded accurately and the facility remains organized. Because this facility handles specialized industrial cargo, the right candidate must have a proven background safely managing and tracking Hazmat totes and drums . We are looking for an independent leader who can manage paperwork, maintain inventory accuracy, and keep the team moving efficiently without direct supervision.

Warehouse Lead Primary Responsibilities include:

Your main responsibility is the efficient management of inbound and outbound freight , ensuring all documentation, specialized material handling, and inventory levels are 100% accurate.

• Operational Leadership: Work unsupervised to manage the nightly flow of the warehouse, ensuring all tasks are completed before the morning shift arrives.
• Hazmat Material Handling: Safely load, unload, stack, and stage Hazmat totes and drums using heavy equipment, ensuring strict adherence to environmental and chemical safety protocols.
• Equipment Operation: Safely load and unload standard trailers using a forklift; maintain an active, certified forklift driver license at all times.
• System Management: Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) via scanners and digital tablets to track fluid material movement and maintain accurate inventory.
• Documentation & Compliance: Manage all Bills of Lading (BOLs), hazardous material manifests, and associated shipping/receiving paperwork with meticulous attention to detail.
• Planning & Staging: Organize the warehouse floor and dock areas through strategic planning and precise staging of chemical or industrial materials for upcoming shipments.
• Communication: Identify and communicate any inventory discrepancies, containment concerns, or operational issues immediately to Operations and Management teams.
• Facility Maintenance: Ensure a high standard of cleanliness and strict safety compliance is maintained across the warehouse and dock areas.

Warehouse Lead Desired Skills and Experience include:

• Required Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Warehouse Lead or Supervisor with heavy forklift operation.
• Specialized Expertise: Direct, proven experience handling and organizing Hazmat totes and drums in an industrial warehouse setting.
• Certification & Licensing: Must have a certified forklift driver license and a valid driver’s license.
• Technical Proficiency: Experience operating RF scanners, digital tablets, and WMS software for real-time inventory tracking.
• Physical Capability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for the duration of an 11-hour shift.
• Dependability: Proven track record of reliability; must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed to meet shipping goals.
• Leadership Traits: Strong ability to work independently, troubleshoot logistics issues, and take initiative as a self-starter on the night shift.
