POSITION SUMMARY

Campground Attendants are responsible for daily cleaning and maintenance duties in the campground restroom buildings and campground area. They also are responsible for providing excellent customer service to campground guests including guest check in and check out, plus providing information about campground facilities and regional attractions to guests and visitors. The campground attendants are required to perform grounds maintenance which includes parking lots, picnic areas and camping areas.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide daily high quality housekeeping and maintenance services in a responsive manner, including but not limited to restrooms, office and campsites.
• Provide high quality quest services to campground guests that arrive for check in or register campers who arrive without a reservation.
• Courteously greet campground visitors and answer phone calls. Provide information about regional attractions, campground facilities and rules.
• Maintain and care for trees, flower beds and vegetation in the campground.
• Perform light maintenance work
• Keep track of occupied or vacant campsites
• Direct campers to vacant sites
• Notify Campground Manager when issues arise regarding campground rules and policies.
• Stock and replenish restroom supplies, litter pickup and sweeping.
• Sell any items such as firewood using POS system.
• Must be competent in answering the phones, operating a cash register and operating a computerized reservation system.
• Notify Campground Manager of operational issues, repair, maintenance and supply needs.
• Comply with all operating policies and procedures established by Siyeh Corporation and Sleeping Wolf Campground.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous work experience in the camping, housekeeping custodial or customer service industries.

Requirements:

• Proven ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Good interpersonal skills required.
• Must be reliable (good attendance and punctuality), organized, flexible, and posses excellent time management skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy required.
• Must possess a high level of integrity, and ability to maintain confidential information.
• General computer experience and ability to type.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work effectively, professionally and courteously with other campground staff.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to understand complex policies, procedures and ordinances.
• Ability to work a varied schedule that includes evenings, weekend, holidays and during North American Indian Days.
