Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant

This is a 13-week contract position.

Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.

The Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant embraces the Select Medical Way and Core Values, delivering superior quality in patient care while ensuring safety for patients and staff. This position involves assisting the Physical Therapist in implementing treatment plans, monitoring patient responses, and demonstrating therapeutic interventions.

Responsibilities:

• Implement treatment goals and plans established by the Physical Therapist.
• Train patients in locomotion and the use of assistive devices.
• Utilize therapeutic modalities such as whirlpools, hot/cold packs, and ultrasound.
• Monitor patient responses and intervene as necessary.
• Document patient progress and responses to treatments.
• Participate in team conferences and collaborate with other healthcare disciplines.
• Maintain safety standards and a clean treatment area, adhering to infection control protocols.
• Demonstrate good customer service attitude towards patients and staff.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• CAPTE certified.
• Active and applicable state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• CPR Certification.
• New graduates are welcome to apply.
