American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med Surg/Telemetry position requiring charge experience and current drip management skills at a critical access hospital.

Work in the IPCU, an adaptive acuity unit within a 25-bed critical access hospital

Nurse to patient ratio of 1:5, with PCU care provided at a 3:1 ratio when needed

Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM

Every other weekend required, with holiday coverage required if needed

Floating to any inpatient unit within scope of practice required

Active VT RN license or compact license required

Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association

Minimum 2 years of current Med Surg/Telemetry experience required

Charge nurse experience required

Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience strongly required

Drip experience required, including insulin, esmolol, and sodium drips

ICU experience strongly preferred

Minimum 3 months of previous travel nursing experience required

Small critical access facility experience preferred

Must have own vehicle

Skills checklists required for PCU, Med Surg, and Telemetry, current within 1 year

One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years required

Provide direct patient care in an adaptive acuity unit, flexing between Med Surg/Telemetry and PCU-level care as needed

Charge nurse responsibilities are a required part of this role and cannot be waived

Must work two full holiday blocks if scheduled: Thanksgiving Day through the following weekend, Christmas Eve through the weekend after Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve through the weekend after New Year's Day
