For over 25 years, National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions) has specialized in connecting experienced workers (ages 55+) with full-time and part-time job opportunities that support the critical missions of Federal Agencies across the United States.

NEW Solutions connects experienced workers (ages 55+) with the Bureau of Reclamation (USBR). These experienced professionals provide administrative, scientific, and technical support to the Bureau of Reclamation through the Experienced Services Program (ESP).

Positions listed here do not guarantee employment for any definite period. Enrollment in the Experienced Worker Programs administered by NEW Solutions is temporary. The enrollment relationship between NEW Solutions and the Enrollee is an ?at-will? relationship. This means that an Enrollee is free to terminate enrollment at any time during the enrollment period, and NEW Solutions and the Agency have the right to terminate the relationship with the Enrollee.

PLEASE NOTE: An ?Enrollee? is not a federal employee, nor an employee of NEW Solutions. An ?Enrollee? is a participant in a grant program established through a Cooperative Agreement funded by the agency and administered by NEW Solutions. This position is funded for 52 weeks.

Qualifications:

HS/GED Degree with minimum additional experience of 10 year(s) in Construction Administration

• Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Teams, MS Outlook, Adobe Acrobat

Duties:

The incumbent performs contract administration on one or more contract construction projects of routine and complex nature at one or more work sites. Observes and reports on activities at all stages of the construction process in order to document construction completion, identify issues and/or report potential problems to the Manager. Enrollee does not approve, negotiate or make decisions; approvals and decisions remain with Reclamation officials.

• Contract Administration. Does not supervise federal employees or contractors and performs work as directed.   80%

• Overnight travel: up to once per month, up to two nights per trip
• Health and Safety Considerations: Reclamation Safety and Health Standards Training ? to be provided by Reclamation
• Required Safety Gear: Hard hat, safety boots, protective glasses, hearing protection will be provided by Reclamation for inspection of construction sites
• Safety Gear Use: while working on construction sites
• Physical requirements: Work is primarily in an office setting. Occasional travel to construction site may require walking, climbing, stooping, bending, and walking on uneven ground. Work in adverse weather conditions may be required.
