Role Overview As Team Leader – Clean Energy, you'll lead and grow one of our client's specialist teams within our Energy business. This opportunity is designed for an experienced, entrepreneurial recruiter who enjoys combining exceptional personal performance with leadership. You'll continue building your own desk while mentoring consultants, developing long-term client partnerships and helping shape the continued growth of our Clean Energy practice across North America. You'll join an established Energy business with an existing client portfolio spanning developers, utilities, investors, EPC contractors, engineering consultancies, technology companies and infrastructure owners. Rather than building a business from scratch, you'll focus on expanding an already successful team, identifying new market opportunities and developing the next generation of recruiters. Supported by an experienced leadership team and dedicated operations, finance, marketing and talent acquisition functions, you'll be empowered to focus on what you do best - building relationships, winning new business, delivering exceptional recruitment solutions and developing a high-performing team. Continue generating exceptional personal billings while mentoring and developing recruiters. Leverage hundreds of existing client relationships across energy, infrastructure, investment and engineering markets. Expand into new technologies, disciplines and geographic markets as demand continues to grow. Work alongside experienced recruitment leaders across complementary areas of the Energy business. Play a key role in the continued expansion of North American platform. Key Responsibilities You'll balance personal production with leadership, coaching and commercial growth while helping to drive the continued success of the Clean Energy team. Working closely with the Head of Energy and Managing Partners, you'll identify new market opportunities, strengthen existing client relationships and support the growth of one of our client's fastest-growing specialist markets. Your responsibilities will include: Winning and delivering permanent, contract and executive search assignments across North America. Developing long-term partnerships with clean energy developers, utilities, investors, EPC contractors, engineeringconsultancies and technology companies. Leading, mentoring and developing a small team of recruiters. Driving individual and team performance through coaching, accountability and best practice. Developing new client relationships and expanding existing accounts across the Energy sector. Maintaining exceptional delivery standards while ensuring an outstanding client and candidate experience. Driving revenue growth through a combination of personal production, strategic business development and effective leadership. Collaborating with leaders across the wider Energy business to maximise opportunities across shared clients and projects. Typical Recruitment Markets Clean Energy sits at the heart of our client's broader Energy business and supports organisations accelerating the transition to a lower-carbon, more resilient energy system. The team partners with developers, utilities, investors, technology companies, OEMs, EPC contractors and engineering consultancies across renewable energy, solar, onshore and offshore wind, battery energy storage systems (BESS), hydrogen, carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS), nuclear and small modular reactors (SMRs), geothermal, grid modernization, transmission and distribution, electrification, EV charging infrastructure, distributed energy resources (DER), virtual power plants (VPP), energy software, independent power producers (IPPs), clean energy investment and emerging energy technologies. They recruit across the full project lifecycle, supporting organisations with technical, engineering, commercial, project delivery, operations, finance, strategy and executive leadership talent. What We're Looking For We're looking for an ambitious recruitment leader who enjoys developing people, building long-term client partnerships and driving commercial success. You'll likely bring: 5-10+ years of recruitment experience within clean energy, renewables, power, utilities or related markets A proven track record of consistently high personal billings and successful business development Experience mentoring, coaching or leading recruiters within an agency environment Strong commercial acumen and the ability to develop lasting client relationships An established network across clean energy developers, utilities, EPC contractors, engineering consultancies, investors or technology businesses Experience recruiting across permanent, contract and/or executive search markets A leadership style centred around coaching, accountability and high performance The ambition to continue building a market-leading Clean Energy practice within an entrepreneurial environment A bachelor's degree is preferred but not essential.
