About the Role
The Company is seeking a Head of Communications to take ownership of and drive its media presence and external narrative in the US and Europe. This pivotal role requires a hands-on leader with a strong network of journalist and media relationships, capable of directly engaging the press to shape the company's perception. The successful candidate will be responsible for direct media relations, including pitching and placing stories, and will serve as the primary contact for all earned media, executive communications, and reputation management. A key focus is on building in-house PR capabilities to reduce dependency on external agencies, while also ensuring the company's messaging is consistent and aligned with its positioning. Applicants for the Head of Communications position at the company should have established, direct relationships with major technology and business media in the US and/or Europe, and a proven track record of securing high-impact media coverage through direct outreach. Experience in AI, enterprise software, deep tech, or complex B2B environments is essential, as is the ability to produce high-quality, publication-ready content. The role also involves executive and CEO positioning, crisis communications, and internal alignment with various teams. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced, global, multicultural environment and may have experience in managing communications during rapid international growth or significant funding events. Familiarity with the quantum computing or advanced AI ecosystem, as well as Spanish language skills, are considered a plus.
