Overview The Hybrid Warehouse Associate / CDL Driver is a cross-functional, high-impact role that blends warehouse operations with commercial driving responsibilities to ensure seamless service to our customers. This position maintains branch continuity by flexing between order fulfillment, inventory management, and delivery execution based on daily operational demands. You’ll be at the center of keeping operations running smoothly—especially during peak demand, driver shortages, and unexpected disruptions—while upholding the highest standards of safety, accuracy, and customer satisfaction. What You’ll Do Execute picking, packing, staging, and shipping of customer orders with a high level of accuracy and efficiency Perform unloading, labeling, receiving, and put-away of inbound materials to maintain smooth warehouse flow Conduct cycle counts and assist with physical inventory processes to ensure inventory accuracy Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment in all warehouse functions Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused warehouse environment Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CDL required) to deliver materials to customer locations Ensure proper load securement using straps, chains, and binders while protecting materials during transit Conduct pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip inspections in full compliance with DOT regulations Complete deliveries on time while providing a high level of customer service and professionalism Maintain accurate logs, delivery documentation, and compliance records Transition seamlessly between warehouse and driving responsibilities based on operational needs Support branch operations during driver shortages, peak volumes, and operational disruptions Collaborate with operations, dispatch, and customer service teams to meet delivery and service commitments Contribute to improving operational efficiency and reducing delays and manual work What You Bring Education & Experience High School Diploma or GED required Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience Valid CDL Class A (or B, based on fleet) license in good standing with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) Skills & Abilities Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and material handling processes Understanding of DOT regulations, FMCSA compliance, and safe driving practices Proficiency in forklift operation and material handling equipment Ability to execute commercial driving routes and delivery schedules effectively Basic math skills and attention to detail for inventory accuracy and order fulfillment Ability to complete documentation and maintain compliance records accurately Strong communication and teamwork skills with a customer-focused mindset Ability to read and interpret work orders, safety procedures, and delivery documentation Ability to quickly adapt and shift priorities based on operational demands Physical requirements: ability to lift between 50–90 lbs. regularly Ability to perform physically demanding warehouse and delivery tasks Ability to work in both indoor warehouse environments and outdoor conditions Ability to safely operate equipment and vehicles in a safety-sensitive environment Pre-Employment Requirements Ability to pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check Authorization to work in the United States Preferred Qualifications Experience in lumber or building materials distribution Forklift certification and hands-on warehouse equipment experience Flatbed delivery experience with strong load securement knowledge Prior experience balancing both warehouse and driving responsibilities in a distribution environment Work Environment Fast-paced, safety-sensitive distribution environment requiring attention to detail and efficiency Combination of indoor warehouse work and outdoor driving conditions in varying weather High-visibility role representing the company during customer deliveries Frequent interaction with operations, dispatch, and customer service teams Independent decision-making required both in warehouse execution and on-road situations Direct impact on OTIF (On-Time In-Full), customer satisfaction, and labor efficiency Physically active role requiring movement, lifting, and equipment operation throughout the day Dynamic daily responsibilities with shifting priorities based on business needs About Our Companies Parksite Parksite is a premier sales, marketing, and distribution company serving the building industry with a focus on both interior and exterior products.
