Motek, a part of Happy Corner Hospitality collective, is a Mediterranean concept restaurant. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service and culinary experiences to our valued customers. Our commitment to excellence extends to every aspect of our operations. The Miami-born restaurant brand will open its first Broward County location at the W hotel this summer. Known for its lively spirit and health-conscious menu, Motek continues to expand its footprint in South Florida with this exciting, new location by the sea.

As we embark on our newest opening, we are seeking passionate and dedicated team members to join our team at our newest location!

As a host/hostess, you will play a crucial role in starting our guests amazing dining experience off on the right foot. As the first and last point of contact for our guests, the Host plays a vital role in setting the tone for the overall dining experience. Responsible for providing a warm, welcoming, and organized entry point, the Host ensures a smooth and efficient flow of guests throughout the restaurant.

Responsibilities:

• Welcome guests with a warm smile.
• Manage waitlist and reservations efficiently.
• Answer incoming calls from guests and assist with general inquiries, reservations, takeout orders as needed.
• Assist with guest requests or accommodations such as seating preferences, highchairs, or any additional special requests.
• Support takeout/pick up orders as needed.
• Monitor cleanliness and presentation of host stand, entrances, menus, and guest areas throughout shift.
• Utilize technology such as SevenRooms to seat guests.
• Contribute to a positive and cooperative work environment by communicating effectively and supporting team members.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a fast-paced restaurant; minimum 2 years in a host/hostess role.
• Experience working with SevenRooms.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
