Orlando Health Lake Mary Hospital represents Orlando Health's continued commitment to the Seminole County community, which we have proudly served for 40 years. As a comprehensive acute care facility, the hospital offers a full scope of medical and surgical services, including cardiovascular, general surgery, orthopedics, and women's services with labor and delivery, alongside a future NICU. Opening with 124 beds, the 455,000 square foot hospital will be able to expand to up to 240 beds. State-of-the-art facilities include operating rooms, catheterization labs, interventional radiology, a vascular lab, an ICU and a full-service emergency department. For labor and delivery, the hospital features six private suites thoughtfully designed to make you feel at home while providing exceptional medical care. Each suite includes a hydrotherapy tub for laboring, shower, recliner, adjustable bed with a squat bar, wireless and waterproof heart rate monitors for mom and baby, a smart board that integrates patient and nurse information from Epic, WiFi, and televisions. These modern amenities ensure a comfortable and supportive environment for every patient.

Responsibilities
Writes orders per policy. Counsels patients and/or significant others on nutritional principles, dietary plans, and food selections taking into account cultural and ethnic requests. Communicates appropriate dietary history and nutritional care data through medical record documentation system. Participates in physician and health care team interdisciplinary rounds. Serves as the consultant on nutrition care. Coordinates activities in the diet office as needed. The registered dietitian is expected to adhere to Orlando Health policies, procedures, guidelines, mission and vision statements, and commitment to excellence. Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards. Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures. Provides nutrition education and in-service to patients, families, and health care team members. Reviews current scientific findings to update menus, hospital formulary, diet manual, and standards of care for specific patient population. Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to assess patient's nutritional requirement and specific needs appropriate to the age of the patient. Knowledgeable in medical nutrition therapy for appropriate nutrition related care of patients. Participates in clinical Performance Improvement activities as assigned. Represents Orlando Health through outside speaking engagements to the community. Provide the care needed as described in all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from a U.S. regionally accredited university or college and coursework accredited or approved by the Commission on Accreditation of Dietetics Education (CADE) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND). Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) registration and State of Florida licensure required.
