Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist

This is a 13-week contract position.

Sunday to Tuesday, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM (Three 12-hour shifts with no on-call responsibilities).

The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist performs technical procedures and assists in the clinical evaluation and care of patients in a fast-paced, Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center. The CT Technologist utilizes their specific modality to create diagnostic images, providing patients with a safe and positive experience. Technologists support teaching and continue learning as technology advances.

In addition to trauma and emergency room scanning, Technologists perform CT exams on outpatients, inpatients (both stable and those receiving intensive care), research patients, and those requiring specialized CT scan-guided procedures. The Computed Tomography Technologist practices and enforces radiation safety measures in accordance with New York State Department of Health code part 16.

Responsibilities:

• Perform technical procedures and obtain diagnostic images using CT technology.
• Assist in clinical evaluations and care of patients in various settings.
• Support teaching initiatives and continue professional development.
• Adhere to safety protocols and radiation safety measures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Graduate of an approved two-year AMA Radiologic Technology School.
• New York State Registration in Diagnostic Radiography or a limited permit to practice in the State of New York.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Provider, CPR or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification.
• Entry-level position; limited or no experience required; MIT level assigned based on skillset and experience.
