Infusion Nurse

Optum is seeking a Part‑Time Home Infusion Registered Nurse to provide safe, high‑quality infusion therapy and patient education in home and ambulatory infusion settings. This role works independently while collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary clinical team to support positive patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Deliver IV and other parenteral infusion therapies per physician orders and Optum protocols Educate patients and caregivers on infusion therapy, self‑care, and monitoring Assess patients and home environments for infusion appropriateness and safety Monitor patient response to therapy and communicate clinical changes as needed Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record Collaborate with pharmacists, providers, and clinical partners to support patient care Travel locally to patient homes and infusion sites (100% travel within assigned territory) Required Qualifications Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice Current BLS/CPR certification 1+ year of clinical nursing experience; infusion or home health experience preferred Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Ability to work independently in home and alternate‑site settings Work Environment & Physical Requirements Ability to travel locally and work in patient homes Ability to lift equipment and supplies, stand for extended periods, and perform clinical procedures as required At UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
