WORK SCHEDULE 100% FTE

Days, 10-hr shifts (4 per week with rotating day off) 'On-Call' shifts DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION The Cardiac Cath Lab at UW Medical Center - Montlake is a highly specialized procedural area providing advanced diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular care for adult patients with complex cardiac conditions. As a regional referral center and part of a nationally recognized academic medical center, the Cath Lab performs a broad range of procedures including diagnostic coronary angiography, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), chronic total occlusion (CTO), structural heart interventions, heart transplant care, adult congenital heart disease (ACHD) intervention, STEMI, Mechanical Circulatory Support (MCS), and emergent cardiac procedures. The Cath Lab team works collaboratively in a fast-paced environment to deliver safe, evidence-based, and patient-centered care. POSITION HIGHLIGHTS Our team is one of the most experienced in the country in managing the risk of complex interventions You will have access to the newest, least invasive therapies, unavailable at any other site in the region, including those not yet offered to the public Work as part of a dynamic, comprehensive care team Make a difference for the patients and employees we serve Opportunity to provide career growth PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Ongoing care of procedural patients, providing moderate sedation per UWMC policy, documentation in EPIC, monitoring and circulating diagnostic and complex interventional cardiology procedures May participate in performance improvement and CQI activities within the department Effectively communicate with physicians and other staff about changes in the patient's condition, including hemodynamic monitoring and symptom Respond quickly and accurately to changes or needs based on the patient assessments Takes Cath Lab "On-Call" after regular department hours according to a monthly schedule REQUIREMENTS Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Washington Previous Cardiac Cath Lab experience or at least 2 years of cardiac ICU experience Current BLS & ACLS ABOUT UW MEDICAL CENTER-MONTLAKE: UW Medical Center is an acute care academic medical center located in Seattle with two campuses: Montlake and Northwest.
