TravelNurseSource is working with Lancesoft Inc to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Lima, Ohio, 45804!

• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to diverse Med-Surg and stroke patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions, responding promptly to changes.
• Educate patients and families on treatment, recovery, and discharge instructions.
• Support shared governance initiatives and foster a positive, collaborative team culture.

Requirements

• 2+ Years of Experience -Required 
• BLS & ACLS (AHA) & NIHSS -  Required, must be active at time of submittal
• Attendance: must be committed to reporting for all assigned shifts and be on time. 
• Must be competent with Cardiac medications (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Heparin, Cardine, Dobutamine, Lasix, Bumex,) and have knowledge of titration and application of these medications. - Required
• Must be competent in telemetry and possess knowledge of heart rhythms. - Required
• Must possess critical thinking skills, be able to recognize change in patient status and intervene - Required
• Must possess knowledge of signs/symptoms of stroke, recognize change in patient status and intervene. - Required
• Must have strong communication skills
