Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense. Pratt & Whitney is constructing an Advanced Casting Foundry (ACF) within its Asheville, NC factory. We’re looking for an experienced Quality Leader for this greenfield business. This position is the Quality Leadership role responsible for strategic, technical and operational support of the Advanced Castings Foundry (ACF). What You Will Do: Drive culture of compliance through strong collaboration with Operations and Manufacturing teams. Lead the build out and proficiency development of the Quality team with a mix of direct and indirect reports to include Quality Engineering, Inspection, NDT, Gage Calibration, Metrology, MCL, MRB, Audit & Quality Clinic. Obtain the necessary resources (equipment, manpower, etc.) effectively to meet long range and near-term goals. Identify and establish required QMS improvements to support this new internal product line. Day to day operational decision making and oversee allocation of resources to meet customer demand. Lead Process Improvement opportunities using DMAIC, CORE and Lean Strategies to enhance quality, decrease process cycle time, and reduce operational costs. Provide technical expertise of non-conforming material and support the communication and processing of quality notifications through the Material Review Board (MRB) process.. Collaborate with the operations and materials teams to ensure alignment to meet customer demand. Define and implement plans to support the objectives of the business including Quality, CORE, and financial metrics. Provide effective communication to ensure alignment as a leader within the Quality and ACF organizations. Qualifications You Must Have: Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years experience. Qualifications We Prefer: Knowledgeable / experienced in AS9100 / ISO 9001 Quality systems. Working knowledge/ proficiency in Quality tools such as FAI, PFMEA, DFMEA, GR&R, GD&T elements, etc. PW Quality system experience. Experienced in root cause corrective action and eliminating non-conformances. Practical DMAIC, CORE, Six Sigma experience or other Lean Systems experience. What is my Role Type? The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
