- Conduct comprehensive evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing both standardized assessments and observational techniques.
- Create individualized therapy plans targeting immediate objectives and enduring communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
- Deliver personalized speech treatment interventions focusing on voice, fluency, language, and swallowing.
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including physical and occupational therapists, physicians, nurses, and family members to devise unified care strategies.
- Educate patients and families to foster therapy progress beyond clinical realms.
- Occasionally conduct inpatient speech evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the patient's journey.
- Maintain precise and timely documentation that adheres to state, federal, and institutional regulations.
- Engage in ongoing learning opportunities through continuing education and collaboration with peers.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
- Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) awarded by ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
- Expertise in evidence-based techniques for clients of all ages, alongside a solid understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing challenges.
- Exceptional communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care partners.
- Ability to tailor therapy approaches to accommodate various cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Strong clinical acumen and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in utilizing electronic medical records and compliance with documentation standards.
