Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing both standardized assessments and observational techniques.
• Create individualized therapy plans targeting immediate objectives and enduring communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver personalized speech treatment interventions focusing on voice, fluency, language, and swallowing.
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including physical and occupational therapists, physicians, nurses, and family members to devise unified care strategies.
• Educate patients and families to foster therapy progress beyond clinical realms.
• Occasionally conduct inpatient speech evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the patient's journey.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation that adheres to state, federal, and institutional regulations.
• Engage in ongoing learning opportunities through continuing education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) awarded by ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
