Role Description The Revenue Cycle Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in New Haven, CT, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the revenue cycle, from patient registration through final payment. Day-to-day tasks include managing billing and collections processes, monitoring claims submission, analyzing accounts receivable, and addressing denials to optimize reimbursement. The role involves collaborating with clinical and administrative staff to ensure accurate documentation, coding, and adherence to payer policies and regulatory requirements. The Revenue Cycle Manager will review performance metrics, implement process improvements, and train team members on revenue cycle best practices. This position also requires regular communication with payers, auditors, and external vendors to maintain efficient and compliant financial operations. Qualifications Demonstrated expertise in Revenue Cycle Management, including billing, collections, and accounts receivable oversight. Experience with Practice Management operations, including workflow optimization and coordination with clinical and front-office teams. Strong skills in managing Denials, including root cause analysis, appeal processes, and preventive strategies. Proficiency in Medical Coding, with a thorough understanding of CPT, ICD, and HCPCS codes relevant to ophthalmology or specialty care. Knowledge of Managed Care contracts, reimbursement models, and payer requirements. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead, train, and support staff in a team-oriented environment. Previous experience in medical practice revenue cycle management, preferably in ophthalmology or a similar specialty. Proficiency with practice management systems, billing software, and basic office applications (e.g., Excel, Word).
