Charge Registered Nurse - PT night Compensation: $39.42 - $43.80 / hour Department: Nursing Role Summary: The Charge Registered Nurse is responsible for overseeing the total health care delivery system in the assigned nursing unit, including collection and evaluation of health status data, nursing diagnosis, goal setting, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care. The Charge RN provides direct supervision of patient teaching and ensures ancillary personnel perform services only for which they are qualified. The Charge RN is accountable for the overall quality of patient care in the unit. Key Responsibilities: Supervise the total health care delivery system in the assigned unit, ensuring compliance with policy and procedure, and coordinating patient care with other departments. Monitor nursing service, maintain accurate records, identify potential problems and propose corrective actions as needed. Assist with staff orientation, training and evaluations, and coordinate staffing levels to meet contractual requirements. Ensure cleanliness, maintenance and appearance of the unit and maintain appropriate levels of medical equipment and supplies. Maintain a professional atmosphere and attend monthly staff meetings as directed by the Director of Nursing or Administrator. Qualifications & Requirements: Education Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Experience Prefer a minimum of one-year clinical experience.
